This Guy is for the Birds

About the only thing that is growing the way it should in my garden is the pumpkins and melons. I'm finally getting tomatoes but it will probably freeze before they start producing alot(or not at all). There is one problem---the birds are coming in the garden and pecking at them. So- Kacey and the boys came out yesterday after Mason got out of school and we made Jack. The boys had a great time and so did their grandma. I love it when my grandkids come out and do projects together. Those times are getting fewer and farther between because they are getting bigger and busier with their own outside activities. I will continue to cherish each and every moment and be thankful to have them when I can.

the Party Crashers

This weekend was a "Blast from the Past". My best friend from high school, Deb Snow, and I decided to crash the reunion of the class of 1968 (we were from the class of '69'). It was a lot of fun. We saw a lot of the friends that we hung out with. Man, there were a lot of old people there. It's so amazing how we change and for the most part our priorities are more grounded. Oh--there are still those that think that success is measured by their toys and then there are those that are humble and truly love their families and the everyday experiences that have brought them to this point.

We had a ball. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The early reunions are for show and the later ones are to meet the real people. It is always great to get with Deb. It always seems like no time has passed since the last time I saw her.

After the reunion, I spent the rest of the weekend till Sunday with siblings and some of there kids and then spent Sunday and Monday with Sarah, Lain and the kids before coming home today. I had a great time.

But----I am ready for a nap!!! GOOD NIGHT!

p.s. there are no pictures. Remember--I'm old.
